Anthony Abel is freshman student attending Drexel University studying Chemical Engineering who aspires to pursue a career in research. In order to begin laying the framework for his future, he secured a position working in the Nanomaterials for Energy Applications and Technology (NEAT) lab under Dr. Jason Baxter here at Drexel University. When he is not working diligently in the classroom, he enjoys playing squash, attending art shows and concerts, and making females and males alike swoon with his stunningly high cheekbones and generally sunny personality. He also is well-known for asking people whether or not they speak French in Mandarin.
Alex Brudner is a freshman student attending Drexel University studying Electrical Engineering with a focus on robotics. He hopes to secure a job in the private sector developing autonomous robots capable of survival in near-vacuum conditions, such as outer space. When he is outside of the classroom and lab, he enjoys playing and acting as referee in hockey matches (which makes sense, considering he hails from the frozen wasteland of Canada) and tinkering with computers. He frequently wows people with his vast simultaneous knowledge of technology and League of Legends.
Stefano Frattarelli is a freshman student attending Drexel University studying Electrical Engineering because he often dreams of electricity. He realizes that, while he is unsure of what he hopes to accomplish with his degree, a solid foundation in electrical engineering puts him at the forefront of technology. While outside of the classroom, he is perennially disappointed by lackluster performance of Philadelphia based sports teams and is often missing on weekends. Many wonder where he is, but few know that he is acting as a world-renowned cat whisperer. He is also known for his stunning renditions of the W.B. Mason jingle and lesser-known songs by early 2000's star Vanessa Carlton.
Daniel Schoepflin is a freshman student attending Drexel University studying Computer Engineering who hopes to pursue university-centered research with a focus in quantum computing. In order to better prepare for his technically-oriented aspirations, he has immersed himself in the science of finite differences with Dr. Pavel Grinfeld of the Mathematics Department here at Drexel University. In his spare time, he enjoys playing the violin, serenading both his friends and the world with passionate vocal performances of Alicia Keys songs, enlightening the general populace with semi-regular installments of "Dan's Fun Facts," and making faces. Finally, he is well-known for incorrectly responding to questions posed in Mandarin.
Dr. Christopher Weyant is a member of the Drexel University faculty in the Materials Science and Engineering department of the college of engineering. He obtained a B.Sc., with honors in Engineering Science at the Pennsylvania State University in 1996, a M.Sc. in Materials Science and Engineering at the University of Virginia in 1998, and a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering at Northwestern University in 2004. He was an Assistant Professor at Stony Brook University from 2008-2011 before coming to Drexel University and accepting a position as Associate Teaching Professor in 2011.
